Please list any charity work, board experience, and other community engagement you believe is important for voters to know about.

Knights of Columbus, Hispanic American Cultural Society, Flagler County Education Foundation Mentor, City of Palm Coast Charter Review committee member, and Palm Coast Chamber of Commerce member.

If elected to the City Council, how would you approach economic development?

Continue investing in infrastructure and consider making pad-ready sites for job creators to relocate to.

Taxes/Budget/Spending: What is your assessment of the City of Palm Coast’s budget?

City Administration needs to be streamlined and integrated into a smaller, but more efficient government, and spend less with equal or better results.

Taxes/Budget/Spending: Please share your position on voting on a “roll-back” tax rate (no increase in property taxes), versus voting on a tax rate that may increase local property taxes.

I am not inclined to support tax or fee increases unless it’s imperative to our infrastructure growth.

Construction/Growth: Please share your perspectives on the rate of growth and development-related topics in the City of Palm Coast.

The growth rate is going well, but it must align with our infrastructure and economic growth.

Construction/Growth: Do you support Palm Coast’s “Western Expansion?”

Yes, if it matches our economic and infrastructure growth.

Demeanor/Creating Consensus: How would you describe your leadership/management style?

Over 45 years of experience in business, law enforcement, and the military.  I lead with integrity and a business mentality.  I do not like the fighting that has taken place on the City Council.

I will have no part of this and will work to build consensus.  We have procedures in place for all deliberations and decisions; they should be followed.

Infrastructure Funding: Should Palm Coast’s Charter be revised to allow for additional infrastructure bonding/construction?

As a member of the Charter Review Commission, I voted to support this effort and supported a larger contracting option.

Parks/Recreation: Please share your thoughts on the City of Palm Coast’s Parks and Recreation offerings/department.

It is wonderful and the heart of Palm Coast.  It should be protected at all costs.

Public Safety: Last year, the Palm Coast City Council voted to increase the number of deputies patrolling our neighborhoods. What are your perspectives on law enforcement efforts in Palm Coast?

As a former police officer, I’m a strong supporter of deputies, paramedics, and firefighters.  Public safety must grow as our City grows. The crime rate is low, and residents are happy our community is safe.
